ORTHOPAEDIC PROBLEMS IN CHILDHOOD – BEST ORTHO DOCTOR IN CHANDIGARH

  1. Flat Feet

This is a condition in which the entire sole of the feet touches the floor. Majorly all children’s feet have a very small arch in their feet when they are born. The soft tissues along the bottom of the feet eventually form the arches of the feet.

Children with flat feet don’t grow an arch until they’re about 5 years old, and some never do. A child can develop aching pain on the bottom of the foot if this persists into adolescence.

Some people with flat feet can unconsciously align their limbs in such a way that they do not experience any discomfort. People who don’t face any problems normally don’t need treatment. Supportive, well-fitted shoes can help if the flat feet cause discomfort.
